Mandee Middleton || It seems like forever ago that this bright eyed girl came for a visit on the team. I will admit that I was a little unsure at first. She was so confident, bubbly, and bright. She had that beautifully intimating sense that she knew who she was and she loved herself. I wanted that, but it seemed so unattainable in the female realm. In any case, on our run that day I learned that this girl was anything but intimidating. She was someone that I instantly clicked with. Not only was she kind, she had a great sense of humor, and she was unapologetically authentic.
Flash forward a couple of years and here we are, coming to the end of our time together. To say I am thankful for having this girl on the team is an understatement. She is a true leader, someone who leads from behind without needing to receive the credit. She fills in where she is needed and is there for everyone. I have admired her ability to rally the team and care for those who need it most, never putting her own needs before others. Simply put, she is selfless and not only a beautiful person, but a beautiful soul. I know that she was placed on this team and in the lives of so many including myself for a purpose.
Before I go, Mandee, I hope that you know that I love you, and even more than that I respect you. You are admirable in so many ways! You are an incredibly talented runner and an even more incredible human. Your humility and kindness are what make you such a great leader. I know you are changing lives and I can’t wait to see where you go!
