"Radical whimsy"

Is just about the perfect phrase to describe how it felt when I walked up to this girl out to dinner with her family; a girl I had only started following as a broken-hearted Texas transplant desperate for friendship. Alex, the fiercely joyful individual she is, treated me and my timid request like I was a friend come home after all the years.

Needless to say, we traipsed The Woodlands after the storm to capture these shots of her and her boy, Trip. the sunshine was really just radiating from them and their souls. 

I was thankful for the little courage I had to walk up and say "Hi" and how a simple act to lead to capturing so many sweet moments!
